Description of Kiilto PrimerOne

Kiilto PrimerOne is a water-based primer developed to ensure optimal adhesion between Kiilto waterproofing systems and substrates such as concrete, levelling compounds or board materials in wet areas. The product is fast-drying and easy to apply, making it a reliable choice for professional wet-room applications.

For best results, the substrate must be clean, dry and suitable for waterproofing. Remove cement laitance, old coatings, sanding dust, loose particles and grease before application. Mechanical sanding is recommended when necessary.

Apply Kiilto PrimerOne in a thin, even coat using a roller, brush or steel trowel, working the primer thoroughly into the substrate. The primer must be completely dry before the waterproofing membrane is applied.

Mixing / dilution ratio

• Under waterproofing membranes: undiluted or diluted 1:1 (dilution extends the drying time)

• Under levelling compounds – concrete/cement-based levelling substrates: 1 part primer to 4 parts water

• Moisture-sensitive substrates (gypsum boards, wood): undiluted

• Floor boards (plywood, gypsum boards, etc.): undiluted

• Non-absorbent substrates (paint, ceramic tiles): undiluted
